Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST)
CST is derived from osteopathy, the cranial sacral system encompasses cerebral spinal fluid, spinal cord and brain. The bone structures of the cranium and sacrum are motile. CST helps to align the structures allowing for optimal flow of cerebral spinal fluids and communication of the nervous system, providing whole body alignment. Facilitates conditions such as accidents and head trauma, sacrum trauma, motor nerve dysfunction, neurological dysfunctions, cognitive dysfunctions and more. Light touch.
The fascial system is a specialized system of the body. A unified flexible crystalline matrix (web) that surrounds, cushions and supports muscles, bones, nerve blood vessel and organs to the cellular level. By applying gentle sustained pressure to the myofascial restrictions, this treatment helps restore motion. Facilitates injuries, chronic pain, scoliosis, structural conditions and conditions that cannot be detected on x-ray or MRI.
An ancient form of therapy in which local suction creates blood flow, circulation of energy and removal of toxins to promote healing. In our comprehensive session both trigger point and soft cups will be used with therapeutic essential oils and prescriptive products to enhance efficacy.
An ancient health care, spirit-based modality, often described as “having yoga done to you.” Done with what is called “Metta” Loving Kindness between facilitator and receiver, the massage is done fully clothed (yoga type clothing) on a floor mat, incorporating stretching. Sen (meridian) lines are opened and flow is encouraged with breathing techniques. Benefits include increased flexibility, relief of joint and muscle tension, and a balance of the body’s energy system.
Energy work is a broad term used for any therapy which manipulates the energetic connections between our minds, bodies and emotions to regain balance and facilitate our body’s innate healing mechanisms. Some of the more well-known therapies which fall under “energetic healing” include Reiki, Reflexology, Kinesiology. There are lesser known therapies such as Chakra Balancing, Vibrational Healing and many other forms of bodywork. Our therapists are trained in a multitude of modalities and will combine their intuitive skills to approach each guest in their own unique way.
Integrated Kinetic Bodywork
A form of therapy which blends the eastern bodywork of Tui Na and Thai Massage with the western therapies of The Trager Approach and Resistance and Release. It is a dynamic approach combining massage, rhythmic movements, and verbal guidance to release chronic tension and patterns in the deeper tissues of the muscles, joints, and fascia which allows for profound change in the body and mind. (Client can be fully or partially clothed.)
Chi Nei Tsang
Taoist Abdominal Massage that uses deep, soft, and gentle strokes to assist the organs, muscles, and fascia to function more effectively. This therapy aids in the detoxification of emotional and physical stagnation. CNT is beneficial to everyone’s health, especially those with low energy, anxiety, depression, constipation, and digestive issues.
Depending on the needs of the client, this therapy can focus on recovery and rehabilitation (ailments such as muscle spasms, frozen shoulder, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, sciatica, chronic back pain, shoulder tension etc.), or aid in athletic recovery and performance by using a combination of deep tissue techniques (Connective Tissue, NMT, Orthopedic, and Resistance & Release) and verbal guidance.
