This is a good question for many reasons, and the answer actually depends on the type of treatment you are receiving. For example, men are often recommended to shave before a skin care treatment. However, some women are advised not to shave before a skin care treatment to avoid irritation. It is always a good idea to ask your spa specialist what type of at-home prep is expected before your appointment to ensure you have the most comfortable experience possible.
No, you should not use a cell phone while at the spa. People come to the spa to relax, and nothing is more jarring than hearing a cell phone ring while trying to relax and enjoy a spa treatment. It is important to be considerate of the other spa guests by turning off your cell phone or silencing it. Remember, you’re at the Westport spa to relax and unwind!
Tipping is discretionary but not mandatory at the New Beauty and Wellness Westport spa in CT. It is, however, nice to tip your specialist 15-20% gratuity, especially when you receive exceptional services.
In most cases, it is okay to disrobe for spa treatments, including facials and massages, completely.
